張彌曼，女，1936年4月生，漢族，浙江嵊縣人。1960年畢業于蘇聯莫斯科大學地質系。1982年獲瑞典斯德哥爾摩大學博士學位。1960年至今在中國科學院古脊椎動物與古人類研究所工作。1991年當選為中國科學院地學部院士。現為中國科學院古脊椎動物與古人類研究所研究員，從2001年9月起被聘為北京大學地球與空間科學學院教授。
張彌曼主要從事比較形態學、古魚類學、中－新生代地層、古地理學及生物進化論的研究。曾發表《渤海沿岸地區第三紀魚化石》、《浙江中生代晚期魚化石》、“The Braincase of Youngolepis, a Lower Devonian Crossopterygian from Yunnan, southwestern China”等著作及編撰“Early Vertebrates and Related Problems of Evolutionary Biology”, 《熱河生物群》（中、英文）等書，以及：
1976 松遼盆地似狼鰭魚屬的發現及骨舌魚目的起源 － 東北白堊紀魚化石之一。古脊椎動物與古人類，14：146－153。
